Hey ! Xception finally got a room of their own~

 

After weeks and weeks of requesting for a room to allow us to do our ImagineCup in peace, we finally being grant a room.

 

Our team is so happy with the room that we have and we make ourselves really feel at home =)

 

In order to make us REALLY feel at home, we even make it into a mini cinema~ haha =P

 

We have posted some sneak pictures of team Xception @ WORK !

For a while now, we have been focusing on the publicity matters. We're trying to get a name for ourselves so that more people will be interested in our proposal and hopefully support us in terms of votes as well as expertise.

 

There are many things that each of us have that conflict with the progess with the project. Hopefully they do not come in the way of the completion of the prototype.

 

We have our own wallpapers now! All thanks to Jonah, who spent countless hours finishing them. His expertise in digital media really shows in the quality wallpapers. :) Thanks Jonah!

 

Many red tapes to go through to obtain certain resources as well as many events to handle, such as the upcoming LOVE launch in our campus. Life is so much fun :)

 

Cheers Imagine Cup!

 

As everyone can see, we have 17 days more to the deadline of ImagineCup 2007 submission. This process of getting the application up is a challenge to me as I am being taught Java in school and my exposure to .NET technology is not too advance. Therefore, a lot of precious time were spent on doing research so that the deadline can be met on time.

 

Apart from ImagineCup, my team is also have lots of commitment that we have to allocate time for it as well. such as the LOVE Launch for Temasek Polytechnic which is to create awareness of Microsoft latest technology on Microsoft Windows Vista and Office 2007. Hence, time management is really a headache for most of us at the moment.

 

Even though work have to be done, I'm still a human afterall. Therefore I will also have my leisure time to destress myself by playing XBox 360 LIVE with my fellow Microsoft Student Partners and our "boss", Stanley Tan who is always so good at first player shooting game (Gear of War & Halo 2). Beside that, I still have to catch my favourite soccer team, Manchester United live matches and watch anime such as Naruto & Bleach.

 

Let's hope that team Xception will shine and bring honour to our school, Temasek Polytechnic. =)

Browser tabs are being overused lately as research goes on. Ctrl + T is the shortcut key of the day and probably of the following days as we delve into the internet for more self-learning. Books are good too. But considering the limited time, who wouldn’t love the internet for the efficiency? We have google/live to help out bring resources that we need in a blink(could be literally) of an eye. Also now that almost all the geniuses are online, I’d rather get my doubts cleared in an instant through forums than manually flipping pages. Well, pretty much I’ve explained how much I rely on the internet nowadays for this competition and how much of a dead meat I’d become when disconnected. I’ll take that back. Truth is, not totally dead meat. We have books in store I can’t wait to read. Very popular and useful ones. Hope they’d serve the purpose in a very short time-frame though.

Aside from research, we know how to have fun too. As part of our continuous effort to express the Team Xception love to everyone, we’ve got those wallpapers all set for downloads. Thanks for those who appreciate them. I’d create more of those cool *ahem*boy band-ish*ahem* graphics and, hopefully, soon we are everywhere. So if you are smart and you know what’s right, you should get a copy of our wallpapers and vote for us.

The message is clear people, Team Xception is the only exception no one can handle. catch(TeamException e)? Nah, you can’t do that.
